Day to Day Duties
In home appliance service specialists are responsible for the repair of major home appliances in the customer’s home. Products repaired include the following home appliances: Washers, Dryers, Stoves, Microwaves, Compactors, Disposers, Refrigerators, and other home appliances, water heaters, furnaces, hearth products. This position provides timely and quality repairs of customers’ appliances while maintaining high levels of customer service. Eight to twelve service calls are dispatched each day using technology, so you are not reporting to our main office in Old Saybrook, CT. You start and stop your route from your home. You may be dispatched to any county in our service territory including Middlesex, New Haven, Hartford, New London. We are seeking candidates living in any of the (6) counties we service. We work Monday through Friday, weekends off.

If you have no experience in the trade, please do not let that deter you if you can meet the qualifications below. If you are willing to learn the trade, we will teach you. We are looking for exceptional people to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing/repairing propane gas appliances, piping installations & general service of pool & spa heaters, decorative gas log sets, patio heaters, space heaters, furnaces, boilers, gas grills, stoves, ranges, cook tops, residential and commercial kitchen work, assist in store daily operations, make equipment deliveries, underground storage and above ground storage systems, some minor plumbing experience. Project sizing and be able to provide great customer service.
Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent with/without prior propane gas service, Manufacturers certificates, appliance repair & ideally HVAC. Must possess a valid CT driver’s license, a clean driving record, be able to work with minimal supervision & capable of "troubleshooting" problems concerning repair/installation. Some heavy lifting required. Uniforms and company vehicle provided. Must have working knowledge of test meters, manometers, all types of small power tools. Employee must provide own hand tools. Company is willing to train the right individual. Service area is fairly extensive - CT Shoreline up into the mid-state region.
